First Thing First

In order to calculate Weight Watchers points plus, you will need to know the calorie and point values of the food items you are eating. You can find this information on the Weight Watchers website or in the Weight Watchers PointsPlus book.

Let’s Calculate Weight Watchers Point Plus

Once you have the calorie and point values for each food item, you can begin to calculate your points plus value. Simply add up the calorie values for all of the food items you are eating, and then divide that number by the point value for the food item with the highest point value. This will give you your points plus the value for that meal.

A Test Case

If you are eating chicken breast, broccoli, and brown rice, the calorie value for that meal would be 420. The point value for the chicken breast is 4, so the points plus value for that meal would be 10 (420 divided by 4).

If you are eating a cheeseburger, French fries, and a soft drink, the calorie value for that meal would be 820. The point value for the cheeseburger is 10, so the points plus value for that meal would be 8 (820 divided by 10).

Keep in mind that you are allowed to eat up to 35 points plus per day. So, if you have a meal with a point plus a value of 10, you would still have 25 points left for the day.
